About the Nebula Scholars Program

The Nebula Scholars Program provides specialized programming to students. The program provides an enriching college experience by fostering academic achievement, network building, engagement on campus, and supports students in refining and achieving their post-undergraduate educational or career goals.

Nebula Scholar Commitments

We are proud to invest in our Nebula Scholars to ensure success while at UT Dallas and beyond.

As part of their participation in the program, Nebula Scholars are expected to meet with the program specialist at least twice per semester and attend at least one event in both the fall and spring semesters.

Join the Program

All first-time-in-college admits who receive a merit-based scholarship and either have a max SAT equivalent standardized test score below 1200 or do not have a standardized test score and are from a high school that meets one of the following criteria: has more than 60% of students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, has student retention rates of less than 70% at UT Dallas, has more than 50% of students who earn first-year cumulative GPAs of less than 3.0 at UT Dallas, or are in Dallas Independent School District. Students are placed into the Nebula Scholars Program and can opt-out at any time.

Any continuing student can participate in the Nebula Scholars Program. To opt in, please email nebula@utdallas.edu.
